About the Artist – Kathy Frasher

Artists Kathy and David Frasher a father daughter team out of Northern lower Michigan.   Kathy  specializes in historical reproductions such as wooden shields, leather tooling and intricate wood burnings.  All of Kathy’s work has inspiration based on European historical items.

David’s work is with wood turning. David uses wood that has been gathered locally as source material.  He turns shield boss’s, bowls, jars, and a variety of other items.  The pieces are typically sanded smooth but have no stain or coating,  so to preserve the  natural ascetic of the wood.

Donar’s Oak will be displaying several pieces at events we attend, and purchases can be made there.  Both artists are accepting commissions for requests as well.

You can find examples of the Frasher’s work on the artists’ gallery page.
